The following is a representative summary of our accomplishments on behalf of clients in various practice areas.

  • Represented local developer and homebuilder for purchase, development and sale of over 100 separate transactions, including negotiation and drafting of purchase and sale agreements, options, easements, map conditions, subdivision agreements, right of entry agreements, deeds and related transaction documents; review of title exceptions and policies; drafting of title notices and objections; handling pre-closing and closing issues and obligations.
  • Negotiated, drafted documents, and closed transaction for private college’s acquisition of Mare Island property for campus, including map and conditions from City of Vallejo, access easements, and energy, water, and storm drain/sewer facilities agreements.
  • Negotiated, drafted and obtained approval of Development Agreement for mixed-use project encompassing over 400 residential units and over 700,000 square feet of office and commercial space; worked with City staff and officials to obtain certification of Environmental Impact Report and entitlements; obtained federal and state permits for fill of wetlands, creek crossing and impacts to endangered species.
  • Represented developer in acquisition of land in east Contra Costa County, entitlement of over 500 residential units including tentative map, CEQA approval and Development Agreement, and sale of entitled project to major production builder.
  • Drafted documents on behalf of a developer client for the acquisition of residential project in Napa County and negotiated and drafted Development Agreement.
  • Negotiated and drafted Acquisition and Development Agreements between developer and City of Vallejo for large mixed-use project.
  • Represented numerous purchasers and sellers of office and industrial buildings in Contra Costa and Solano County.
  • Represented landlords and tenants in leasing of office, commercial and industrial properties in Contra Costa, Alameda and Solano Counties.
  • Represented local college with bond transactions in 2007, 2009 and 2014, including multi-state $150 million bond financing.
  • Represented property owner in purchase of medical building, including complex cross-collateralized financing from institutional lender.
  • Represented landlords in all facets of commercial and residential landlord/tenant matters, including lease drafting, evictions and over 800 unlawful detainer trials.
  • Represented owners, met with municipal staff, and appeared at hearings to obtain use permits, zoning changes and general plan amendments to allow various residential, commercial and industrial uses.
  • Negotiated over $100,000,000 in commercial and residential purchase and sale agreements in 2015
  • Represented construction company in stop notice action wherein client was subsequently paid the full amount demanded without needing to commence litigation
  • Represented commercial property investors in a complex, multi-party fraudulent non-disclosure civil action in Los Angeles and negotiated seven figure monetary settlement.
  • Represent developer in suit challenging development approval, and successfully prevailed in Court of Appeal with full development rights approval affirmed
  • Successfully represented developer in lawsuit to challenge and void purchase agreement
  • Successfully represented developer in action to enforce rights under purchase agreement to purchase vacant land for development
